The Burlington Bar- go right next door for a few drinks
The Whirlaway lounge has been providing Logan Square with a comfortable and social drinking establishment for over 29 years. Purchased by the Jaimes family in 1980, the Whirlaway has been family owned and run ever since. Rumor has it that the original owner placed a bet on a horse that was not favored to win. This horse would later become a triple crown winner. With his earnings the bar was built and named after the horse; Whirlaway.
Established in 2009
Cesar Casas started his culinary career at Michael Jordan's Restaurant and earned his culinary stripes in Ambria's kitchen, where he learned every classical French technique from how to chiffonade basil to executing a tender beef roulade. Those skills have now taken a decidedly untique turn at his new home, Café Bella, a casual new Logan Square spot established with his friend/owner Hector Pena. Pena named the the coffee shop/restaurant after his daughter's name "IsaBELLA"
